YCB Christmas Giveaway; Week 1

It's just under 5 weeks until Christmas. I have most of my shopping done, but still have a few odds and ends to get. Previous years, by December 1st, everything was bought and wrapped except that one gift I just couldn't find. This year, I plan on getting gift cards for that person that just seems to have everything.

Speaking of gift cards, I worked a couple of deals at Target and received (4) four $5 gift cards. To thank my loyal subscribers, I will give away 1 $5 Target gift card each week until Christmas. Interested in winning one? Just leave a comment telling me your favorite holiday dish. The following week, I'll post the winner's comment along with a Your Coupon Buddy frugal recipe.

This giveaway is over. Please check out my most current giveaways HERE.

Thank you,

Chocolate covered peanut butter balls...yummy... I enjoy eating these, but making them with my children is even better.

My favorite recipe is Carmel Apple Pie warmed up with vanilla ice cream. Wonderful but certainly not low on calories.

Our family's favorite holiday dish is cinnamon/brown sugar sweet potatos. Just the way my late mom used to make them. :)

And for snacks, (and not a dish for a meal) we LOVE to make no-bake cookies with oatmeal, cocoa, and peanut butter!

My favorite has to be bread stuffing since we only have that once a year.
Thank you!

My favorite holiday dish is fruit salad, very simple, made with oranges, pineapple, bananas, and a little sugar. It is very simple but very delicious. Just a pain to make cuz you have to sectionize the oranges and I am not good at that.
thanks for sharing

My favorite would have to be the good old turkey. YUMMY!!! The left overs are even better though. I always get my mom to buy a big turkey so we have plenty to take home for those yummy turkey sandwiches :).

My hubby's grandma makes a sweet potato casserole that is so yummy it seriously could count as dessert! I am not a big fan of sweet potatoes, but I have a hard time not eating too much of this side dish every holiday! (lol I actually have taken extra insulin just so I could eat it!!!) Thank you for the chance to win!

My favorite holiday dish would have to be Cornbread/Sausage Stuffing. I was first introduced to it when I got married 28 years ago. My husband's sisters are all wonderful cooks and this dish was made by his sister, Judy.

My favorite holiday dish, isn't a dish, but a gravy of sorts. My Grandad has always made Dr. Pepper gravy to go with ham. He cooks the ham and when it's almost done he pours 2-3 cans of Dr. Pepper over the ham. The Dr. Pepper mixes with the juices from the ham and it is so good. Yummy I just love it.

I love making Pumpkin Roll with cream cheese filling. It's freezable for gifts and great with coffee. I've made a healthier version with fresh sweet potatoes and reduced fat cream cheese. Either way, it's the bomb!
